Greg cut NO CORNERS when diving into Jack's legacy, and he put in all the work needed to bring his career to life. I'm retired and to this day from the age of 20 have trained to be strong and healthy. Mr LaLanne makes me look like a donut munching slug. This book does justice to his life and his training philosophy while giving the reader solid training and motivation. Read it and weep because you're not his equal. Everyone interested in health should buy this book.
I have been fortunate to be included in the LaLanne family. Jack's inspirational words will always live in my heart and mind. He taught that endurance was a goal that should never be discounted. To this day I work out and practice his philosophy. I'm 73 years old and have an on going record of 799 days in a row swimming in the Pacific Ocean. My goal is 1,000 days to honor Jack's incredible feat of 1,000 push ups follow by, 1,000 chin ups. Thank you for setting a GREAT example Jack!
I checked this book out from the library and read it casually over a couple days from cover to cover. After that, I decided this book was so motivating I needed to buy my own copy so I could highlight some of the motivating phrases and sections for reference. I am finally getting back to strength training since the pandemic began and need that extra motivation to get over the sore muscle hump. Thanks to the author! I feel this is a must buy for inspiration and motivation.
